Join Tara Humphrey in a 4-week beginning, 60-minute mindful flow tailored to dancers’ needs (though anyone at any level is welcome). Each flow will involve breath work, balance work, and strength conditioning, targeting the major muscle groups. The latter portion of each practice will involve restorative stretches aimed at opening the hips and relieving the back, legs, and feet. Each session will conclude with a mindfulness meditation to relax the mind and body.

MINDFULNESS MEDITATION TEACHER - TARA VALDEZ HUMPHREY
After teaching college writing for 25 years, Tara Valdez Humphrey recently left a career in higher education to explore the field of mind-body connection. She certified as a mindfulness meditation teacher, taught by the world-renown Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach, at UC Berkeley‘s Greater Good Science Center. She then earned her 200-hour yoga teacher certification through Happy Jack Yoga University, with an additional 100 hours in Yin yoga, trauma-informed yoga, and Yoga Nidra. A 20-year Moraga resident, Tara is a devoted Joy in Motion dancer and Moraga Country Club member. She recently joined the teaching staff at Atma Yoga in Orinda and is a regular online guest instructor for Happy Jack Yoga.
