We’re thrilled that our Youth Program continues to be in high demand!

Here’s a quick overview of how to join our program and how enrollment works throughout the year:

Session Overview

We offer three sessions each year:

  • Fall (our main enrollment period)

  • Winter/Spring (a continuation of sorts of Fall)

  • Summer (a completely new schedule)

Our dance year runs similarly to a school year, with Fall as the official starting point. While it’s split into two sessions (Fall & Winter/Spring) the schedule is the same and most dancers starting in the Fall continue through Winter/Spring (the end of the school year) because they will get first priority to so. See below:

Important Facts About Fall Registration

  • Fall is the best time to get into a class or get on the waitlists to be a part of our program. (Fall through Spring).

  • Fall registration typically opens just after the 4th of July. Families with priority status will receive a 2-day early access window to register before it opens to the general public.

  • Dancers who participated in the previous Winter/Spring session (before Summer) receive priority enrollment for Fall classes.

  • Waitlists begin as early as priority enrollment – sometimes in minutes after opening, so don’t wait! As soon as you are eligible too, go register or get on any and all waitlists possible.

  • If you register or join a waitlist during the priority window but are not eligible, we will catch it and cancel the registration or remove the dancer from the waitlist. You’ll need to try again when general enrollment opens.

Commonly asked questions:

“WHAT IF I’M ONLY INTERESTED IN WINTER/SPRING?”

Join the waitlists in Fall and let us know you’d like to be considered for Winter/Spring only. We’ll note it accordingly. If you wait until closer to January, you will likely be very low on the waitlists.

“WHAT IF I’M ON VACATION WHEN ENROLLMENT OPENS?”

This happens every year! As much as we adore your family, we’re unable to pre-enroll dancers for non-placement classes ahead of time. Every year, families find themselves traveling during enrollment—and they figure it out! We've seen grandparents step in or friends help out. We understand it adds a bit of extra stress, but to be fair to everyone, we must stick to this policy.

“MY CHILD TURNS THE AGE REQUIREMENT AFTER THE CLASS START DATE. CAN I STILL REGISTER FOR THAT CLASS?”

Unfortunately, no. The system won’t allow you to register a dancer who hasn’t yet met the age requirement by the class start date. We know this can be disappointing—several dancers each year are in the same situation. The good news is, they’ll be with others in the same boat! If, after a few weeks, we believe a transfer is the right fit and space allows, we’ll address it then. Active dancers needing a transfer will always be prioritized before we pull from the waitlist.

Winter/Spring Registration

  • If we open enrollment for any classes, it will be in November.

  • Fall dancers have first priority to roll over.

  • If spots open before Winter/Spring begins, we prioritize:

    1. Transfer requests from current students (with the same class/genre taking priority followed by genre changes)

    2. Then, we will move to the waitlists (starting from the previous July)

  • Openings can occur, so being on the waitlist is still worthwhile!

  • Those who are enrolled in Winter/Spring will get priority enrollment in the upcoming Fall session (new school year/same calendar year) after Summer. Being in the Winter/Spring session helps your chances of getting into the Fall session each year!

Commonly asked question:

“MY DANCER IS NOW OLDER, CAN THEY MOVE UP?”

Since we treat our Fall & Winter/Spring session like a school year, we do not age dancers up mid-year unless we feel it’s in the best interest of the dancer. Otherwise, dancers must meet the class age requirement as of the start of the Fall session.

Summer Registration

  • Summer registration typically opens mid-April.

  • Summer is not required, but it's the perfect time for new families to try classes.

  • We usually hold 4-day classes and 5-day camps – one-week-only. Only adult classes are weekly in the summer.

  • Summer enrollment does not offer priority for Fall – except for 3-4 year-olds in our very youngest classes.

    • If a new 3-year-old takes a summer class, they’ll receive priority for Fall in only the classes for 3-4 year-olds, no other age groups.

Other Important Notes

  • No classes the first or last week of school, and we observe all federal holidays.

  • Tuition is based on the number of class days – you won’t be charged for holidays or breaks.

  • Each dancer is allowed two make-up classes per session.

Spring Stage Show

  • Historically we have held our annual show in May before the school year ends.

  • Dates are finalized in November – please keep all weekends in May open if you plan to participate.

  • Rehearsals are mandatory, and the experience is truly rewarding!
