TEACHING ARTIST - JUSTIN COLE
Justin grew up in the Bay Area and has never left. He fell into dance by way of theatre and studied several dance genres at Adrienne’s Dance Studio, Katie’s Dance Studio, Contra Costa College, and San Francisco State University. He fell into teaching Hip Hop and learned his funky moves from watching artists like Madonna and Janet Jackson on MTV and by going to the club religiously every weekend when he was 19 to 23 years old.
After teaching children’s theatre for over 3 decades and dance to both kids and adults for over 25 years, Justin wants to explore one of his dreams which was choreographing for the Pussy Cat Dolls. Justin is extremely committed and proud to have made the decision to co-create a dance community at Joy in Motion where all dancers can feel free to expressive themselves in a safe and inclusive environment.
