FALL 2025 SESSION INFORMATION

DATES: Monday, August 18 - Thursday, December 18

We remain steadfastly committed to providing options for as many dancers as possible. As the studio grows, we evolve our offerings to accommodate our community. Joy in Motion embodies a philosophy of appropriately tiered technical training designed for dancers for all levels of commitment and skill to experience success. Our approach blends technique with heart, ensuring that every dancer, from the little ones twirling in their first ballet shoes to the seasoned performers mastering intricate choreography, find a place to shine and grow.

We do our best to continue offering options to beginners of all ages, as well as director-placed and audition-based classes and “Crews.” Joy in Motion sends Fall 2025 Director Placement notices to WS '25 dancers for Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Tap and the highest level Hip Hop classes.

*PRIORITY Registration OPENS:

Tuesday, JULY 29 at 10am

*PRIORITY Registration CLOSES:

Thursday, JULY 31 at 10am.

*Fall 2025 Priority Registration is for dancers (not families) who participated in our previous Winter/Spring 2025 session. The only exception is that 3-4 year olds who took a Creative Ballet or Lil' Funky Freedom Class in Summer '25 may have priority registration for one Fall '25 class of either Creative Ballet or Lil' Funky Freedom ONLY (new summer 4 year olds wishing to register for Funky Freedom or 4-5 y/o combos will need to wait for Open Registration).

Everyone will have the ability to enroll...BUT all enrollments are date & time-stamped.

Joy in Motion reviews all Priority Registrations by hand, and we CANCEL ALL NON-ELIGIBLE Registrations made during the priority window, and those dancers will NEED TO BE RE-ENROLLED or added to waitlists at the Open Enrollment time.

Enrollment OPENS to EVERYONE:

FRIDAY, August 1 at 10am.

****We recommend that you do get on any and all waitlists for classes you are interested in because we will use those lists going into our Winter/Spring 2026 session. FALL 2025 DANCERS will have first priority to roll over into the next session. If a spot should open up in any of our youth classes, we will honor transfer requests first, then move to the waitlist from July 2025.

Be sure to check your Payment Plan in the Portal as you may wish to make installments instead of 1 Full Payment.

There is a Full Schedule available for view, but it may be easier to view the classes by Age Groups. You will be able to Register or get on Waitlists directly from our site.

Since we get run into the following questions all the time, we are putting this here for your information!

Since we will be on vacation, can you please pre-register my dancer?

We run into this every year and as much as we may adore your family, we can’t pre-enroll dancers for non-placement classes ahead of time.

Every year people are traveling and they have to figure something out. We’ve had grandparents that have been recruited or friends that are asked to help. We know it causes extra stress, but we have to hold tight on this policy in fairness to everyone.

My child turns the age limit after the class start date. Can I still register for the older age limit?

No. The system won't let you add a dancer if they aren’t the age limit yet. There are several dancers every year in this predicament, but it keeps them together and they aren't alone. If, after a few weeks, we feel a transfer is better, and there is room, we will address that. We honor transfers to dancers in a class (wanting/needing one) before adding a non-active dancer from the waitlist.

Can I sign up for two dance classes in the same genre?

Technically, yes. However, we may ask you to pick one so that we may offer another dancer without a class to dance with us. Please only choose one class in each genre. This includes combo classes and both 3-4 year old options. We will gladly double up your dancer if there is room after enrollment is over. Reach out to us and we are happy to add them to the waitlist noting your request.
